Ubisoft revealed the latest game in the Assassin's Creed series, ACIV Black Flag. IGN reported that the first trailer for the game was posted online only to be taken down minutes later. In the trailer we saw Captain Edward Kenway (the guy on the box art) and a release date, October 29, 2013 (release date may not be final). The trailer also revealed that ACIV will target next gen consoles.
Although I was initially excited about the naval combat in ACIII, it did lose its charm and completing all the missions on my way to 100% synchronisation felt quite tedious. Based on the box art, it seems pirates will play a major role in ACIV so I'm assuming there will be a lot more sailing and cannon fire in this latest installment. It wouldn't be Assassin's Creed without running and climbing though, so surely there will be lots of land action to look forward to as well.
With so much information being leaked, Ubisoft decided to reveal the existence of the game last week and there will be a full reveal on Monday 4/03. I'll have more to write then.
